Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Signegy (signegy.com). By using the service, you agree to these terms. They're written to be clear and fair — please read them.
1. Service Description
Signegy is a free web application that lets you add signature images to PDF documents. All processing happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your files are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party service. We provide the tool; you provide the documents.
2. No Warranty
Signegy is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the signed PDFs produced by Signegy will be considered legally binding. The legality and enforceability of electronic signatures varies by jurisdiction, document type, and context. If you need a legally binding signature, consult a legal professional to confirm that the approach meets the requirements of your specific situation.
3. User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your documents and signatures. Since all file processing happens in your browser, we never see, access, or store your files. This means:
- You are responsible for keeping your original documents safe.
- You are responsible for verifying the output of any signed PDF.
- You are responsible for ensuring your use of electronic signatures complies with applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
- We cannot recover files for you — they exist only on your device.
4. Intellectual Property
The Signegy name, brand, logo, website design, and source code are the property of Signegy. All rights are reserved.
You retain all rights to your documents. Using Signegy does not grant us any rights, ownership, or license to your files, signatures, or content. We couldn't claim them even if we wanted to — we never have access to them.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Signegy for any unlawful purpose. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Forging another person's signature without their authorization.
- Creating fraudulent documents.
- Any activity that violates applicable local, state, national, or international laws.
We build tools for honest people doing honest work. Please use them accordingly.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Signegy and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service.
Since everything runs in your browser and we never touch your files, our ability to cause harm is inherently limited — and so is our liability.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Signegy after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
We encourage you to review these terms periodically, though given the nature of the service, changes are expected to be infrequent.
8. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
